What is solutions journalism? It seems that the answer is self-explanatory – it’s the type of journalism that not only names existing problems but also helps to solve them. There are, however, lots of subtleties behind such a simple definition – we will look through them in the framework of Solutions Journalism II.

Being enrolled in the program, you will learn how to create powerful texts. You will understand not only how to find relevant topics but also how to monitor and develop them further. Choose an article’s key point in a way so that the story resembles a short movie. You will also discover various instruments to back up and strengthen a story, such as advice on how to communicate with city governors and a media company owner; how to read and understand social research data; how to create profiles and instructions for your website. You will learn how to cover sophisticated subjects simply and crucial topics sensitively. Additionally, the course also implies discussions on how to anticipate burnout to prevent it on time.

The course lasts three months. During the program, the participants will create a capstone project – a series of articles or a featured article.
