Solution Journalism

Crafting stories that drive social progress

Crafting stories that drive social progress

Free of charge. Selection is competitive.

This course in solutions journalism is designed for journalists and editors who want to tell not only that the world is complex and often wrong, but also how to change it.

How do you assemble a drone at home and how do you make sure that hundreds of the same enthusiasts assemble them with you? How to install a wheelchair ramp in your high-rise building and how to make sure that they appear in every house? How to find a solution for yourself and scale it to the whole country? This is solutions journalism.

This format allows you to approach social problems constructively, offering not only information about the current state of affairs, but also highlighting existing solutions to problems.

As part of the course, you will learn about the "pillars" of solutions journalism and receive a   "cheat sheet" that will help you make the structure of your texts more effective. In addition, you will master the tools that will help you create useful texts on the most pressing topics: from reconstruction to environmental protection.
